Adelaide
Town Accomodation Things To Do

Adelaide is probably one of the nicest cities we have been to. The general atmosphere is pretty chilled out and the city is designed really well, with parklands all around it. It is very easy to find your way around.

It also has the best Chinese restaurant we have ever been to! Mains cost about $8 and $1 gets you unlimited rice. Definitely check it out :-

Things To Do

South Australia Museum

Free entry. Huge place with loads of good displays. Well worth a visit. Better than most museums we have been to.

When we went there was a history of skateboarding exhibition on.

Also a good Donald Bradman Exhibition at the library.

Art Gallery

Free entry. Pretty big place with mainly older art, but still a good contemporary section and a large aboriginal art section.

You can get a free guided tour at certain times of the day which is worth going on if you want to find out a bit more.

Botanical Gardens

Nice place to go and relax, gardens maintained really well. Big enough to spend a couple of hours to walk around.

Barossa Valley - Wineries

Absolutely brilliant trip. The Barossa Valley is a beautiful place to drive through and then of course you stop at the wineries and get free tasting all day!

Our trip cost $75 which included lunch, but you could always drive your own vehicle and do the tour for free and the spend $75 on buying wine....

We also went to the Whispering Wall on the way back, which is a huge dam and if you whisper into the dam on one side, you can be heard by the people right over on the other side, pretty amazing!
