The road to Karijini was the hottest place I had been to in Austalia - temp got up to almost 50 degrees C!!! We were travelling in a 40 year old Holden with no air conditioning and opening the window on the highway was like pointing 3 or 4 hairdryers at you face!
Good to have a change of scenery from the coast. The national park is really good and you can see alot of it even by sticking to main roads in a normal car rather than a 4 x 4.
Some nice gorges, waterfalls and swimming holes. We got there late and setup camp almost in the dark and then left pretty early only spending less than an hour looking in the park. Could have definately done with a bit more time, but the driver wanted to leave in a hurry.
Got attacked by a few leeches when I was trying to climb up the waterfall and the water was surprisingly warm.
